Riverdale is an upscale, mostly detached-home neighbourhood in northwest Richmond along the Middle Arm of the Fraser River.
It lies north of Granville Avenue up to the Fraser River, between No. 1 Road and No. 2 Road. Terra Nova is to the northwest and Seafair to the west, with Quilchena to the south.
It is a quiet residential area close to riverside recreation and quick bridge access to Vancouver.
The majority of homes are single-family houses, with a few condominium buildings on Lynas Lane and Dover Crescent and limited townhouses.
The Richmond Olympic Oval — a fitness and multi-sport facility from the 2010 Winter Olympics — and the Middle Arm waterfront trail are nearby.
The Richmond School District (SD38) serves the area, with catchments including Thompson and Blair Elementary and Burnett Secondary.
No. 2 Road connects over the river toward Vancouver; the Canada Line at Aberdeen and Brighouse is a short drive east, with bus service on local arterials.
The Richmond Olympic Oval is a landmark on the nearby waterfront.
It may suit buyers wanting a detached home near the river with fast access to Vancouver.

Generally not right now. Since January 1, 2023, the federal Prohibition on the Purchase of Residential Property by Non-Canadians Act has barred most non-Canadians from buying residential property, with exceptions such as permanent residents and some work-permit holders. The ban has been extended before, so confirm its current status and get legal advice on your situation.
