Cloverdale is Surrey's historic heart and its original town centre, centred on the Five Corners intersection. It blends a heritage main street with newer residential growth.
In east-central Surrey; the wider Cloverdale town centre also takes in Clayton Heights to the north.
The area began as a farming community in the Clover Valley (also called Serpentine Flats) and was established near Five Corners in 1879 as Surrey's first town centre. It became a railway hub when the New Westminster Southern Railway arrived in 1891 and was an incorporated village from 1945.
Served by School District 36 (Surrey Schools), including Lord Tweedsmuir Secondary and École Salish Secondary.
The Fraser Highway corridor runs nearby, along which the Surrey-Langley SkyTrain extension is under construction.
The Cloverdale Fairgrounds host the Cloverdale Rodeo and Country Fair, held each Victoria Day weekend and billed as one of Canada's largest rodeos.
May suit buyers wanting a historic town-centre character with newer housing options nearby.

Generally not right now. Since January 1, 2023, the federal Prohibition on the Purchase of Residential Property by Non-Canadians Act has barred most non-Canadians from buying residential property, with exceptions such as permanent residents and some work-permit holders. The ban has been extended before, so confirm its current status and get legal advice on your situation.
