Springbank Hill is a large hillside suburb on Calgary's western edge, made up of several distinct subdivisions with mountain views. It is an established, family-oriented residential area.
It sits in the southwest near the western city limit, bounded by 17th Avenue SW to the north, Stoney Trail to the south, 69th Street SW to the east and 101st Street SW to the west, with neighbours including Aspen Woods, Signal Hill, West Springs and Discovery Ridge.
The community was established in 1999 on land annexed to Calgary in 1994, and it is sometimes confused with the older rural community of Springbank to the west.
It is a family-oriented suburb of tree-lined streets and multiple subdivisions, including Springborough and The Slopes, with quick access to the mountains.
Housing is mostly single-family detached homes with some semi-detached and row housing.
The community is served by the Calgary Board of Education, including Ernest Manning High School, and the private Ambrose University is also located here.
The 69 Street CTrain station on the Blue Line sits at its eastern edge, with bus service and major road access via 17th Avenue SW, Sarcee Trail and Stoney Trail.
It may suit families wanting larger homes and schools near the western edge and the mountains.

Generally not right now. Since January 1, 2023, the federal Prohibition on the Purchase of Residential Property by Non-Canadians Act has barred most non-Canadians from buying residential property, with exceptions such as permanent residents and some work-permit holders. The ban has been extended before, so confirm its current status and get legal advice on your situation.
