Copperfield is a southeast Calgary suburb known for its ponds, wetlands and connected pathway network.
It sits in southeast Calgary, bounded by 52 Street SE to the west, Stoney Trail to the south and the community of New Brighton to the north. It neighbours McKenzie Towne, Auburn Bay and Mahogany.
The community was launched in 2002 by Hopewell Residential and built out through the mid-2000s.
It is a family-oriented suburb with green corridors, playgrounds and a community hall.
Housing is a mix of single-family detached homes, townhomes and some apartments and condominiums.
South Trail Crossing, on 130th Avenue SE, provides big-box retail, grocery, restaurants and services close by.
The community has several parks, playgrounds and ponds and wetland areas linked by paved pathways; the Copperfield community hall offers a tennis court, basketball court, playground and a winter skating rink.
Area schools include Dr. Martha Cohen School and Joane Cardinal-Schubert High School under the Calgary Board of Education, and St. Isabella School (K-9) in the Calgary Catholic School District.
Calgary Transit buses serve the community; the nearest CTrain is the Red Line at Somerset-Bridlewood, and Stoney Trail provides regional access.

Generally not right now. Since January 1, 2023, the federal Prohibition on the Purchase of Residential Property by Non-Canadians Act has barred most non-Canadians from buying residential property, with exceptions such as permanent residents and some work-permit holders. The ban has been extended before, so confirm its current status and get legal advice on your situation.
