Redstone is a newer master-planned community in northeast Calgary offering detached homes and townhomes among parks and pathways. It is a fast-growing suburb popular with newcomers.
It sits in the northeast near the northern city edge, bounded by Metis Trail NE to the west, Stoney Trail to the north, 60th Street NE to the east and 128th Avenue NE to the south, north of Skyview Ranch.
The community launched around 2010 as a master-planned development by Qualico Communities on roughly 360 acres north of 128th Avenue NE.
It is a young, growing, family-oriented suburb with green space and a multi-use pathway running through it.
Housing is a mix of detached two-storey homes and townhomes, generally with open floor plans.
Parklands are set between the residential areas and a multi-kilometre pathway network provides walking and cycling routes.
Calgary Transit bus service connects the area, with major road access via Metis Trail, Stoney Trail and Country Hills Boulevard toward the airport and Deerfoot Trail.
It may suit first-time buyers and families wanting newer, more affordable homes in the northeast.

Generally not right now. Since January 1, 2023, the federal Prohibition on the Purchase of Residential Property by Non-Canadians Act has barred most non-Canadians from buying residential property, with exceptions such as permanent residents and some work-permit holders. The ban has been extended before, so confirm its current status and get legal advice on your situation.
