The story begins with Rob Buckland-Nicks, a young artist from the United Kingdom who, in 1975, relocated his family to Canada with a three year old and a three month old baby in tow.

He and his wife settled into rural life in Bear River, and through several partnerships and cooperative efforts, Flight of Fancy Arts Ltd. was founded in 1980. Rob went on to become sole owner and curator, building a gallery known worldwide for excellence in fine art and craft.
