Some properties are built, others are shaped over generations. Rough Rock Lodge is a classic Northwestern Ontario fishing camp where decades of stories, traditions, and summer memories have unfolded along the shores of Rough Rock Lake. For many guests, annual trips became lifelong traditions, with families returning year after year to fish these waters and gather around the lodge at the end of the day.

At the heart of the camp sits the main lodge, a gathering place that has welcomed guests for generations. A large sun-filled deck overlooks the water and leads into a warm and welcoming dining hall, where vaulted wood ceilings and log rafters adorned with hundreds of fishing lures collected over the years quietly tell the story of life at the camp. The commercial kitchen remains the hub of daily camp life, anchored by a faithful Garland range where camp dinners are prepared, while expansive workspaces and lake views make it as practical as it is memorable.

It is easy to imagine anglers returning with the day's catch and hearing the call down the dock that dinner is ready. Supporting the operation are seven guest cabins, staff accommodations, storage buildings, multiple docks, substantial dry storage, water treatment systems, fish cleaning and cooking facilities, a dedicated laundry cabin, and dependable power supplied by two generators. Propane services cabin heating and on-demand hot water systems, while a certified diesel fuel barge is included.

After more than seventy years and only three owners, Rough Rock Lodge is ready for its next chapter. Whether continued as a fishing destination or enjoyed as a private family compound, this is an opportunity for a new generation to carry a Northern Ontario tradition forward.
